Movement Menu eZine - September 2011

Welcome
Photo: Michael Holden - Burning Man 2011

Congratulations! And welcome back from your summer rite-of-passage, whether you went to Black Rock or not! You've just helped us bring to life another issue of Conscious Dancer Magazine and you'll be seeing it in your mailbox or local movement hot-spot soon. That means we're working on the next one, and it's all about you! Your place in the dance family tree to be exact, and we're asking every member of our community to take our historical survey and engage in our lineage project. We know how hard many of you work to expand movement consciousness, and we want to tell the stories of the many mentors, hybrids, splits, offshoots, and outright originals that have led to the rich variety of practices and ecstatic dances happening today. So PLEASE TAKE OUR SURVEY and share your perspective as we co-create the the stories that shape conscious movement culture. You are an important piece of an evolving movement, and we appreciate your positive energy. ~M.M.

Love and thanks from the Conscious Dancer team.

PS: Digital Subscribers - look for your link in next months ezine. If you prefer the feeling of a rich and colorful magazine that you can hold in your hand and save or pass along, then please subscribe now for only $18/yr and become an active member of the movement!

PPS: Win a full year subscription to the print magazine, or win a years extension to your current sub, all you have to do is TAKE THE SURVEY!

Our friends at TDAMA make "lifestyle movement wear" that's hard to beat. These folks are eco-minded dancers who keep production close to home and use only sustainable fibers. All their designs are on-point, but what they do for the lower half of the body really stands out. The unisex Corduroy Street II is likely the most good-looking and feeling dancefloor-to-street men's pant I've ever worn. For women, the Tiered Gaucho is a fun entry to the line.

Look for them at better festivals and select retailers, or visit online: www.tdama.com

We let go of old beliefs and old fears to build spacious resilient hearts and luscious buoyant bodies.

Toni reminds us, "You are the Prayer: your body, your movement, your breath. You are the Goddess: your passion, your emotions, your sensual heart. You are the Shaman: your power, your intentions, your life's journey."
